Would a grade C in Media Studies and a pass in Woodwork Analysis help when applying?

Wot - for the typists job, Zoom ?

    OMS

No OMS, we don't have typists any more. "Come over here Miss Pringle and take this down" stuff is old hat.  It's computing and word processing these days I'm told. I was referring to the Technical Regulations' Team opening. Being multi-skilled might help on the C.V. I thought. Being a keyboard wizard might impress, but an actual hands on doer might impress even more. Anyway, the money is just not there is it? Wadda the perks?

  • Good spot all! ?

I'll make my colleagues in the Tech Regs Dept and HR aware that there may be a mistake in the job description or ask them to clarify what's been written.

  • Does the successful applicant get a private parking space?

    Z.
  • Not a private space Zoomie but we do have a private staff car park.

  • With some of the sad responses on this topic, Lisa Miles would have been better off advertising in an Electrical publication/newspaper. After giving members first refusal, she gets mocking posts. Never mind, back to "How to wire up a consumer unit" and "Cable ladder bonding" to name a couple.

what is just as sad is you replying to a post on a forum dedicated to BS7671, when your concern is ESQCR, and your belittling of posters  on most posts that you do post on  about BS 7671 that electricians have to abide by; and this from someone that had worked for a REC/DNO for the best part of forty years. Nothing has really changed has it it, it's always been "them and us" on both side. Electricians have to abide by BS7671 or equivalent, DNO workers ESQCR.
