  • A surprising number of illicit calls originate within the UK, because ofcom are basically toothless and have almost never fined a company for breaking TPS rules.


    I usually get my elderly mum to give them my mobile number. Of the few who bother with calling, a 'why would we deal with a company that broke the law to contact her?' usually gets them to go away.


    This isn't just therapeutic, it results in the number eventually being marked as 'too canny to be scammed' and results in a massive dropoff in cold calls.
