Please don't get me going on the subject of gin. One of the worst upsets that we had in the second Gulf war was that we ran out of tonic, but there was still gin. Since then, there have been so my supposed distillers (most of it was chemically produced years ago) that any Johnny Foreigner might conclude that we have turned into a nation of dipsomaniacs.
