Bunched Cables

Looking at running new circuits above a ceiling on a job and came across this,

What do you think the grouping factor is?
?

Does anyone else prefer running singles in conduit/containment? T&E is always quicker and easier to install, but I would only tend to use it on domestic installs,

Cheers

  • I trust that we all agree the standard of wiring is definitely poor. Nonetheless, it does seem to be increasingly common. One hopes that should the ceilings be removed, the wiring system employed will show the electrician’s skills in a better light. I wonder what the other trades think when they see the obvious  lack of pride in such shoddy workmanship? Or is it just ignorance born from the slippery slope of commercial pressures? In any event, any sparks producing that standard of work should think about alternative employment.....that also applies to whoever installed the fire alarm cables!
