  • Some years' ago... I was wiring a house, in Tooting, and they had this plumbing company and they sent a female woman, (you never know what's what these days', haha), and she kept asking me to help lift this and that as she wasn't strong enough... BUT, good luck to them... if I needed another sparky...I would choose a man, sorry!

Anyways, happy Christmas to one and all, (including female women and men and whatever else there may be out there sparking!!).

    Regards... Tom

We had only one female on our training scheme for electricians and eleven males back in the early 90s. The lady was very good and very meticulous in her practical and written work. She passed her City and Guilds exams and then the world was her lobster, as Del Boy would say.

  • I would suggest that the award is very well deserved. I had a couple of ladies come through the training process over the years. They tended to keep the younger ones in check.

  • When I was on my course I was the only girl there female electricians and plumbers are still very much in the minority  always good to hear that the males here are supportive of us

    Hello Kelly Marie,

ability and skills are always respected in a person irrespective of gender.

I prefer lady dentists personally, they are more careful in my experience. But of course ladies are to be found in all skilled professional disciplines.
