No shirt, no shoes, no worries ?

I've seen a lot worse, nothing to be alarmed about

Given they've chosen to moan to the Daily Heil, I've zero sympathy for them

    Regards

  • I'm surprised that they actually expected to find any other in Jamaica.
  • India is not much better.0e52ff7ab47df33756b925f374e7a37f-huge-cimg1232.jpg
  • "they would happen daily at least four or five times a day."

Aghh! I hate it when such silly statements are made.

Ranks alongside "A maximum of 5 or 6 times" and "quite unique" or "I got a touch of flu" or "I`m slightly pregnant".

Nearly as much as the polotician`s "I refute that" no you did not refute anything you twit
  • It might just be Jamaca. The people appeared to be quite curt and expecting a tip at every turn. Some of the other islands, particularly the windward and ABC islands are actually very attractive and socialble.

    Legh
  • The joint shown is twist and tape, and in the new colours. It need not have been taped, there are ways of knotting wire ends so that you do not need the tape, as the L and N bare twists are held pointing in opposite directions by the knot.  UK electricians never learn these skills, but they exist.

We are just very spoilt in the UK, and expect everything to be safe even for people standing in places where it says not to and touching things they should not, for most of the planet single fault to danger and a sense of self preservation is enough.
  • For a nice twisted joint between two cables or flexible cords, cut the neutral longer on one cable, and the phase longer on the other. The two twisted joints will then be at different distances along the cable, and therefore cant touch each other.

If the cables to be thus jointed might be subjected to physical strain, then knot them first before jointing as above. Adding insulating tape is a waste of money, prevents proper inspection, and is a fire risk.
