Coal Fired Generation Emissions etc.

In the U.K. many coal fired power stations have been demolished to reduced emissions. We are worried about carbon and man made "climate change" But what about the greenhouse gas mentioned in the article below?

    Entirely man made for air con and cooling plants, and can be eliminated as old kit is scrapped and new is fitted. It looks like some folk are still making and using the old stuff.

    In the EU we are now running fridges on things like pentane , a relative of propane and butane but with 5 carbons in place of 4 or 3. as the circulating gas, though pressures and flow rates are different so it is not a simple swap.

    There is the sad side effect that fridges now blow up better in house fires, but that is a trade off of deaths now vs in the future.
