Can’t work in Ireland

A young man from the U.K. with the electrotechnical NVQ L3, 2391 and 18th Edition has been excluded from a job in the Republic of Ireland because their NVQ is said to acquire a level 6 status as indeed does the Scottish NVQ. The NVQ L3 in the U.K. is mapped only to Level 5. The essential criteria for the job was level 6. Believe it or not, the job is nothing other than installing meters for ESB.

anyone know how these qualifications are mapped?

    It would have most likely had the same effect in or out of the eu medical system - we still couldn't have gone our own way on vaccine procurement. Many people today will owe their lives to the fact that we got out in time. I feel sorry for those in the eu who have yet to die simply because their non elected officials are still dithering whilst trying to make a fast buck from their respective pharma industries on the back of this crisis. Poo poo the AZ vaccine because it is British and then procrastinate until your own suppliers come on online. Meanwhile hundreds of your own citizens are dying needlessly. How democratic eh? What's next? Cozy up to Putin  for a dose of sputnik?

    Oh - they've already done that. Buy anything but British to save your political faces in front of your dying populations.
