Part L2B or maybe an EU energy Directive? - One for the mechanical souls on here maybe.

Hi Chaps and Chapesses,


Not entirely electrical related but they will have a supply ?


I am trying to find if there is or is not an absolute requirement for destratification fans in a non domestic building where the main source of heating is being replaced due to age related deterioration, (200kW warm air unit)


The space is under the 1000 square meter limit for the requirement of a 10% efficiency spend.


It's is mainly a question of do I offer it as an option or as a requirement as part of the upgrade.

    Good to see you still frequent the board!


    I would prefer the client to install them as we are at 8m roof height with glass walls from 4m to roof, they seem like a sensible option as a means of demonstrating awareness of the issues if nothing else.


    The building is 60s-70s and the area is approximately 800m2, at the moment this is early stages and I have been looking for external consultants for SBEM, not something I am familiar with of desire to be!


    As far as the client is concerned they are cold and just want a replacement boiler, though they are keen on polar bears too.
