Earhing of Semi-Permenant Fencing

Afternoon all,


We are installing some semi-permanent (Herras type) fencing as demarcation across a site. Parts of the fencing will pass within a meter of our pipelines which are bonded to the site main earthing. My question Is does the semi-permanent fencing need bonding too or is it ok as it sits on the ground rather than in the ground?

    If there are no cables clipped to the fence, or electric lights/cameras or whatever connected to it, then there is no need to worry unless there is another factor to consider . Railways have other rules for example.

    I presume the pipes go into buildings with electric lights/pumps or whatever, which the fence won't ?
