JP GETS HIS HANDS ON A FIRST EDITION

I have a PDF copy of the First Edition along with all the subsequent editions and paper copies back only to the 9th Edition from 1927.

Yesterday I was at the IET and was able to hold in my hand the archive edition of the 1882 Journal the Society of Telegraph Engineer and Electricians. This is a wonderful leather bound book where the First Edition was published. It was not as far as I know published as a separate document.

What would I give to own a copy just to sit on the shelf to admire? I am still looking for a Yellow 15th Edition if anyone has one?

If you are an IET member, and I would recommend you join, you can go to the library and request to see the archive copy or other archived editions and they will retrieve it from the archive store. I might ask to see Michael Faraday's papers but suspect I would not be allowed to hold or touch them!

Post complete remove fawn coloured anorak and tartan slippers!
