"17 edition"consumer units still being sold.

After watching a webinar describing the dangers of using dual rcd cu,s with type AC rcd supplying dishwashers, induction hobs etc,

I was wondering why, more than 12months after 18th came into force, they are still for sale. Thanks for any opinions.

I am awaiting a comment from the observant.

Symbols for the A and AC types are the wrong way around?

    That will be it!

With an existing Crabtree split load consumer unit that has a Type AC RCD I intend to move the utility room socket circuit onto a new Type A RCBO with a switched neutral to protect the washing machine and replace the lighting MCBs with the same just to add RCD protection, then leave it at that.

I cannot see the need to replace the consumer unit to provide Type A RCD protection to every circuit, is the existing Type AC really that bad?
