On site quide disconnection times

3.5.2 disconnection time of not more than 0.4 s is required for .... 32A when supplying only fixed equipment

but where is the entry for 32A when supplying circuit with any non-fixed equipment?

not covered in 3.5?
  • I don't have the latest OSG so can't comment on its exact wording, but I'd be pretty sure it's trying to explain reg 411.3.2.2 in BS 7671. That says the faster disconnection time (0.4s for TN, 0.2s for TT)  applies to final circuits rated  ≤ 63A that supply one or more sockets and to final circuits rated ≤ 32A that supply no sockets at all (i.e. all current using equipment has a fixed connection). Note it's down to whether the connection is fixed, rather than the equipment itself. (Previously the limit was ≤ 32A regardless of sockets).
