Tested a 3 phase supply lighting supply to street lighting.

IR tested 0.00 on all 3 phases.

contin. tested to 1.79,1.76. 1.48

But when generator is used the fittings work.

any theory would be nice.

    No. PFC (power factor correction) capacitor.


    A snubber would (usually) be across switch contacts. A snubber is usually a capacitor & resistor in series.
