New concept in consumer units?

I think I've spotted one or two minor gaps, but there seems to be some interesting ideas. What do you think?

  • The ring MCBs are a completely naff idea from someone who doesn't understand! Such is this day of the year, good spoof though!

It will save having to connect ring circuits with a B32/30mA RCBO supplying the circuit through two B20 MCBs, which takes up at least three ways.

    Alas, yes.

We seems to have had a lot of gripes over the years on the Forum about the current offerings from CU manufacturers, so I thought it might be interesting to take some of the suggestions and see what they might look like if presented as a consistent range you might actually be able to buy. Yes the whole thing is a complete work of fiction - just images pinched from the internet and hacked about and some made up words. But maybe, just maybe, it'll leave the idea is people's heads that something better might actually be possible and that might be the stimulus for actually getting something better, eventually. Even if one manufacturer starts to worry that someone else might possibly come up with something fundamentally better they might start thinking about the possibility of considering doing something similar themselves. Small acorns and all that.

Anyhow thanks for you time and hope you appreciated the April Fool attempt!

        - Andy,
