Reconditioned coin meter, mcb before or after?

Will be fitting a 60A coin meter for a 20/32A supply to greenhouses and thought it safer

to supply the meter from a garage unit rather than come off the mains isolator switch/henly block

with16/25mm tails into the meter and then into the garage unit. The meter is double insulated. Thanks for any advice.

  • I have known people to rent/sub-let garages and there was an old woman somewhere else who lived in the greenhouse while her big house was on

summer let. (I believe its called airb&b these days)

IMO, If the coin meter is attached to a final circuit then the MCB/CB will  be upstream. As Mike has stated, its usual practice to have a cartridge fuse upstream with a MCB;/RCBO downstream covering the final circuit to provide a clear level of discrimination.
