Cable table which column to use

Hi

Im currently doing a bit of circuit design and am a bit rusty. I’m planning to use a 3 core swa for a single phase circuit. Do I choose the 2core cable single phase column in The regs book current capacity tables even though im using a three core cable or the three or four core cable column? Some of the tables show a little asterix denoting ‘with or without a protective conductor’ which would help in my instance, however table 4d4a doesn’t show this.

Thanks in advance

My work-around is to paste text like that into something that doesn't handle anything but plain text (e.g. Notepad on windows) then re-copy it from there before pasting into the Forum - you then get plain ASCII text with all the formatting stripped off.

Thanks for confirming it wasn't just me being a bit slow at late-o-clock. ?

You've got to love an "upgrade" to a "fresh new look", that then requires a work around to get back basic features.

BTW Table 8 seems to be for 5 core cables according to the free preview of the contents page of the latest 2016 version. It may well have been different in the earlier version (preview not available), and if so it wouldn't be unusual for the datasheet to not get updated.
