Numerous Lights from one switch

Hi All I was wondering if using the attached diagram would this be a good design for switching on numerous number of lights in one switch. I assume it is in some form of daisy chain. Its the one that I have rung?.Jimmy

  • I`d never thought of a 6 limit either by lamp or by point.

    Back in the days of filament lamps (Remember them?) We used to allow 100W per point or per lamp unless we were reasonably sure that another wattage most likely applied.

    I also used a (mental) limit of 2/3 absolute max of fuse/breaker rating per circuit as my own "good practice" and considered that the odd 150W lamp would be used if only as a temp (Temps have a habit of becomming semi-permanent)
