Testing a building where the fire alarm in another building has been extended into the 1 I am testing. the old wiring has been used and is laid with a metal trunking.

Just wondered what that thought is on coding??

  • if the 24 V wiring is using a cable that could be used for mains and so has adequate insulation to hold off 240v, then probably no real issue. If it is in something else, and only rated to 24V, then not very good . The trunking is not the dominant part of the question
