STANDARD SPECIFICAION FOR PERIODIC INSPECTION OF A DWELLING FREE ISSUE

I sent out a copy of my standard specification this week to someone who found it on a much earlier post.

It has been updated from earlier versions. If you want a free copy email me and I will send you the latest version.

My email is info(that funny symbol for at)astutetechnicalservices.co.uk

It is designed for contractors specifying what they are going to do on an EICR and for owners, landlords and persons ordering an EICR to specify what they want done. The antidote to drive byes.
  • But surely what a landlord wants you to do is a drive by.  If you actually look at things, you might find faults that need to be fixed.
  • John - your old specification has been used my moi for years - I'd recommend it to anyone. I'd love to see the updated version please, as will my assessor. ;-)

As always - thank you John for your continued support over the last (decade?) few years. Sending work your way 10 years ago was well worth it. Send John your EICRs people - no environment is too intimidating.

    Cheers John

Unfortunately, Joe and Josephine accept the lowest quote. Businesses with tax to avoid won't be too fussy, I find.

  • Without wanting to rain on JP's parade in any way whatsoever, whilst looking for a competitive quote for PL/PI insurance today, I found this specification for EICRs. They also do drive-bys visual inspections here.
