Mcb change

I have to change an mcb from a c to b type in a MCCB panel, 100A to 100A, to comply with max permissible Zs.

Would you use an EIC to document such a change?

  • I would say that it would need an EIC. It is a new circuit, with differing characteristics to the "old" circuit. If the installation comes under part P, it would need notifying too.

Running an additional CPC to reduce the Zs would only need a minor works though.
