I understand, from a very well informed source that due to an oversight in the original 18thed regarding equipotential bonding for PME systems "not needed anymore" the latest amendment corrects this obvious error and PME bonding, as reqd by the DNOs, is now to be completed in all installations regardless of whether a plastic insert is fitted. The wiring regulations people, working from home in Tenerife and South of France, concede that as experienced electricians took no notice of this mistake anyway so few if any consumers were affected.
Regards, and a reminder that the DNOs are available 24 hours, 7 days, 365 days a year. UKPN
