Social Distancing Guide

For those who cannot work out social distancing. This is two meters apart!

Cheers!
  • V. droll, but slightly more seriously, if (in Scotland) two households cannot meet, how does a sparks (or decorator or plumber or WHY) work in somebody's home? ?
  • Does the sparks, decorator, plumber etc count as a household?

    Clive

  • I think the rule is "cannot meet socially" so working in somebody's home is exempt. This gives me an idea - we could have a party and hand everyone a paintbrush and a pot of paint as they arrive.....
  • Slightly surprised to see no tail of Green and yellow in the gas box.

I have seen things like this on a few laboratory doors at work, which remind you of the ratio of the speed of sound and EM waves

  • In my experience, most adults cannot estimate 2 metres with any accuracy at all! Most technical people can!
  • Outstretched arms (distance between middle finger tip to middle finger tip on the other side) is equal to your height so is a good guide of distance away. So my brother who is 6ft 4 needs to be his arms span away from anyone when in their presence. Whereas his much shorter sister (aka me ?) needs to be at least one and a half times my arm span away... ??

Unless we've been socialising in the pub too long of course........

But what if your customer is family? ?

Oh yes, did paintbrush and pot of paint whilst making good.

It was very odd today not hugging and kissing daughter, and not shaking hands with son-in-law. Saddest thing in many ways was scarpering before the grand-daughters got home from school.

Well, nobody has died in our family. Nobody has been out of a job. We should be grateful for small mercies! ?

Indeed - and if you want a good laugh to brighten the day, I was just reading an article about thousands of Generation Z members of our society, who, in their desire to be special, have elected to get a stylized Z tattoo, with a bar through it. For the generation that is most connected and has access to more information than ever, you'd think someone would have googled wolfs-angel before putting the idea up on tiktok

It's going to go down well at the next XR/Antifa gig, I suspect.

    Regards
