PME Multiple Supplies Metal Frame

Hi All,

Wondering if someone can help, looking at the design of 5 metal sheds which will inevitably have a PME supply from NPG from a local TX. I know that the DNO will not allow more than one PME supply into this building due to circulating currents, so i am thinking of maybe placing a Ryefield board and cut out in either a landlords store within the building or in a separate feeder pillar and then distributing  to each unit in cabling with a separate neutral & bond for incoming services and a separate PME bond for the frame and connect to an earth bar within the pillar. Basically, the same as a private resi building but with a steel structure. Does this sound like a reasonable solution as upfront RCDs doesnt sound too appealing to a couple of potential tenants.

Whilst we are on the subject, has anyone put a ryefield and cut out inside a feeder pillar?

Thankyou for your help.

  • Andy,

Many things for the advice you were 100% correct. For other peoples benefit, the Ryefield solution was also acceptable, just not as simple.

    Thanks
