Non-Commodity Charges

I was not expecting to receive 2020.10.05 - SSE Non-Commodity Charges.pdf for our village hall electricity supply. Whether all suppliers have this ability to increase these charges when you have a fixed price n-year contract, I don't know.

  • When the contract was signed you should have received a separate "Statement of Principal Terms" which is a short simple plain English document that lists the main contract terms.  Price variation of this sort should have been on the document.  This is a separate document to the main contract terms.

If either you didn't get the document or price variation wasn't on it then I think you have grounds to ask for the price increase to be disapplied.
