Cable tie tool.

Possibly a daft question, will a stainless steel cable tie tool work with plastic cable ties or are the plastic ties too thick?

Sadly the answer is 'probably not' which may not be that much help. this for example one only does ties up to 1/4mm thick and that rules out most plastic ones

Bigger tool suppliers are keen to point out they do 2 distinct ranges of tools, a group for each tie type. example

Also note the optimum tension is not quite the same so you'd need a fully adjustable tool. I've not seen one.
