Is it correct 411.3.2.2

Max disconnection ...shall be applied to final circuits with a rated current not exceeding

1. 63A with one or more socket-outlets, AND

2. 32 A supplying only fixed connected current-using equipment.

Example 32A with at least one socket with plugs.

condition 1 is satisfied

condition 2 is not satisfied

The “and” implies both need to be satisfied.

is this true?

  • "Many threads indicate that people doing EICRs are not competent."

    ?

  • They do.

That must be because anyone is allowed to do them.
  • Indeed.

In fact I know of one approved contractor of an organisation (begining with N, ending in C and having the letters I,C,E,I in the middle) where the QS runs electricians to do the test/inspect  to domestic council properties at 4 a day per person and plays heck if they only do 3. Cheap as chips and the end result is a report that reads to me as a complete farce event.
