DP RCBO

Is any one aware of a three-phase and neutral distribution board that accommodates DP RCBOs? Or, for that matter a single-phase board?
  • Sorry guys, I think I am being silly! I was looking at the Hager DP RCBO which cannot be accommodated in their boards without significant hacking due to the line and neutral being at opposite ends. I see Wylex do an RCBO but neutrals are at the top making it fit their standard boards.
  • I've used loads of the Hager double pole RCBOs (though generally in the south of Ireland).

I did discover last week, however, that CP FuseBox Type A miniature RCBOs are double pole switching. This took me by surprise - I did verify it with a meter. (They still only connect onto the phase busbar, with a neutral flylead.)

The new Wylex Type A double pole RCBOs (Siemens) don’t have arc shields and cannot be used in three phase boards.

Obviously, when they are all on the same single phase busbar arc shields are not required.

  • Thank you Andy. I just had that confirmed by Eaton. Looks like I will have to go with a special.
