The actual current will be your higher value, although you will get no advantage from it! That is not a very good PF and some correction will be worthwhile if the metering is not kWh but KVAh. The difference is that the current and voltage waveforms are displaced from each other and peak at different times, ie. the maximum current no longer corresponds with the maximum voltage. The difference in running cost by meter type could be at least 25%, so it is worth notice or correction.
