AMD 2 - new model forms

I see that they want to squeeze yet more info into an EIC and MEIWC, which seems fair enough.

The problem for me is the GSTR. 17th+3 had 22 columns; 18th has 25; and now they want to go up to 28. Doubtless the various pieces of software will cope, but it becomes a real problem if you want to fill one in by hand. Just how, for example do you squeeze "60898" into a box which is only just over 1/4" wide? ?

Somebody has already commented on this issue and so have I now.

Not particularly helpful but somebody thought it would be useful to add extra columns so I might suggest to have another single or double letter/number code for each type of protective device. change the margins space and extend the column width,  extend the table across two pages, print onto A3? , use a paperless system.

  • I still use the old forms - much of the information asked for isn't relevant.
  • 17th (I'm retired now) Electronically every time. if anyone wants the form as an excel sheet/workbook, let me have a scan (18th/19th) and I'll make XLS/XLSX/Libre Office versions as required.
  • Also with so many boxes to mark off it gets more likely that one gets missed, l had it happen on an NICEIC EICR a while ago and the system did not pick up on it.

Good spot. I would suggest that you comment on this on the DPC to suggest a change.

    John, thank you. Already done!

I like Legh's idea of using bigger paper. ?
