Class 1 appliance with no exposed metal work to connect test lead too

Coffee machineOK 3rd problem class one appliance with no exposed metal work to connect test lead too how can I carry out the earth bond test given it is a class 1 appliance and not a class 2 appliance like this Coffee machine

  • If you want to see this type of machine to confirm what I'm saying, the pictures on this web-page will show you the earth circuit goes to the element. On some appliances, earthing may also go the electronic control board (that will probably be used only to "ground" the electronics to stop radio interference affecting the controls, and not part of Class I protection):

    Of course, for safety reasons I wouldn't recommend anyone disassemble or repair or test any appliance they were not familiar with
