Stuffing gland and swa

Is it okay to use stuffing gland with swa as long as as the armour is earthed at the supply end?

    It’s only a 110v actuator valve with an core as a cpc. So best bet cut armour back and insulate is insulation tape really bodge job? 


    I'm not sure I actually understand how you can use a stuffing gland but not a SWA gland ?
