Hello, should a lamp without a diffuser outside of zones 0-2 in a bathroom be classed as C2 or C3 on an EICR?

Thanks,

John

The pendant light? That's actually in the corridor outside! There's a pane of glass above the bathroom door.
  • Lol..... Well given the limited visual information, I had to make a guessimate. It reminded me of some  properties that we've looked at. You can never be too sure as I have seen pendant light examples in bathrooms before.

    Legh
  • It’s no coding as it’s outside all the zones, would get a C3 if no RCD. What does rental accommodation got to do with different codes?
  • and AFAIK still require to be fitted with a "home office skirt"

You've got a good memory! As far as I can tell there's been no mention of a deep HO skirt for bathroom lampholders in the regs since bathroom zones zone were introduced back in an early amendement to the 16th Ed.
