E.I.C for over 100 Amps.

I use the Kewtech T.C.1. forms for my E.I.C.s they cover up to 100 Amp supplies which cover  my normal  work.

I had to renew a 200 Amp T.P.& N. fused switch today and suddenly realised that I  had no Kewtech T.C.8. forms for installations over 100 Amp ratings.

Is there much difference in the two forms? If so what? I have ordered some T.C.8.s but U.K.P.N. require paperwork before they will replace the main 200 Amp. fuses. Could I get away with a T.C.1?

  • if your desperate , try tlc or anouther wholesaler , they do sell the pads but not sure if they only sell the 100a domestic type or not.

  • Or just download the Model Forms although granted the Schedule of Inspections is only up to 100A.
  • If I recall correctly, BS 7671 doesn't suggest anything particular for >100A installations - instead the inspector is meant to devise something suitable for the individual installation. So if you think the 100A forms are fundamentally suitable, then just use them .. with any required adjustment (e.g. cross out 100A and write in 200A).
