Q : What are our Requirements for Safety?
  • Who is "our" in this context?
  • Coby, is this homework? You need a copy of BS7671, a blue one will do to study.

Who would you imagine a book entitled "Requirements for Electrical Installations" was aimed at?

    Requirements for Electrical Installations

Q : What are our Requirements for Safety?

The fundamental requirements for safety in BS 7671 are contained in Section 131. They are built upon with specific requirements in later Parts of the standard.

However, at its most basic, our requirements for safety are based in law of course, with basic duties of care and legislation such as Health & Safety at Work Act and Consumer Protection Act, both with supplementary Regulations, and the relevant legislation for buildings in the devolved nations.
