Brand new electric shower and nothing but cold water? Any ideas? Almost like the tco keeps going but How on a new shower?

I don’t believe the plumber/electrician changed the hose and they just reused existing one as the new one wouldn’t of fit and would have had to had drill holes on show on tiles.
  • Have you tried cleaning the filter on the water inlet?

so we have a cat litter tray in it instead.  However, to be honest, based on experience I can not particularly  recommend that,

So an EC rather than a WC then?!

I don't blame you when you're unlikely to have the digging ability or flexibility of a cat!!

    Well something like that.

However, while you are joking, some of the camps I have organised  with scouts have had almost the first thing on arrival being to select  the two most suitable folk and set them onto digging a pit.

It depends rather where on the spectrum of glamping on a ready made site to  a "survival skills" green field weekend the event is supposed to be.

( not joking, the leader training material is here)

There is something quite primitive about kicking some mud in after you have finished

    Mike.
  • A good chance it is debris on the inlet resulting in low pressure but usually you get an indication of this on the shower control. If you have a Smart meter you may see an increase in power consumption briefly before the low pressure element protection activates. Presumably it has a cold setting and flow is fine. You could try switching from cold to heated and observe if the flow drops which it will if thermostat is operating.
