Mem rcbo interchangeable rcd module

Hi all

I’m looking for a bit of info. I need an 40a rcbo for a mem 2000 consumer unit but I’m struggling to get one. I do however have a 40a Mcb and a 32a rcbo. Can I remove the rcd module from the rcbo and for it to the 40a Mcb to make a 40a rcbo? I think my question is are the rcd modules from an rcbo rated for the highest possible Mcb and as such are interchangeable? There is what seems to be a 10mm neutral factory fitted so I’m presuming so. Thanks in advance

  • Eatons MR30 is a "field fit" RCD pod for Eaton MCB. These are pattern for older MEM 2000 and BILL MCBs. They are expensive [ £100+ for a little POD], but are interchangeable. The box says In 63 amp; so covers all MCBs up to that. If you have one fitted on an MCB you should be able to transfer it. They are a bit fragile; some take a bit of shifting if sat in place for a few years.
