I have a selection of ten insulated screwdrivers of various sizes used regularly up until about 3 years ago and have about 200 various shaped screwdriver bits and jewelers drivers that do get used for bench work.. Plus I have one of these rascals!
Next time there's a cold dry spell, and you get a zap every time you touch anything metal, keep that screwdriver in your pocket.
Then tap the metal things with the end of the screwdriver, and watch the neon flash. Once it's flashed, the static is discharged, and it's safe to touch things again.
