PVC out, LSOH in?

Grapevine is full of rumours that the next amendment will preclude the use of conventional 70' rated PVC cables, inc twin and earth and that only Low Smoke LSOH cables will be permitted.

Anyone heard anything on this?

    No, but given the world we presently inhabit, it wouldn't surprise me if such a mover were afoot!

    Just running a flag up the pole to see if anyone salutes. Seriously, it is being bandied about that conventional PVC cables will be banned shortly.
