New Conservatory Wiring TYPE choice.

Helloooooo All,

What is the preferred TYPE of cable to be run in a foundation dwarf wall cavity of a new domestic conservatory? The cables can not be run from above as the walls are glazed. The cables can not be run from below as there is underfloor heating to be installed.

The main concern is any adverse effect of any unknown thermal insulation such as polystyrene that may be added into the cavity upon the cable insulation.

Thanks,

Z.

Run sideways to stay in zones, or are you dropping into the cavity and claiming depth.

Also note that small conservatories are building regs exempt, construction may not be as you would expect in a full size house. Also cables can be threaded into doof frames for architrave light switches etc.

You could just put the corrugated flex conduit in the cavity to afford some protection, I have done this for phone and TV cable.

The socket cables will be run in the "cavity zone". Beyond the reach of screws.
