Can't get either brand around here - only contactum, wylex, hager and Chint. Anything else has to be procured via a web purchase.
Yes W.H. supplies can be a problem. The only reason that I came upon the Lewden brand consumer unit and R.C.B.Os was that a customer bought the stuff and then asked me to install it. I know Lewden of old dealt with metal outside switches and sockets of very good quality, but now most stuff is made of plastic. Do you remember the Lewden outdoor sockets and switches of the "industrial" type?
I have found Chint to be cheap and nasty with a high failure rate.

Second clue. Do you notice anything?
Niglon RCBO1-32/30SS 32 Amp Type B 1 Pole + Neutral 230 Volt 30mA 6kA Blue Mini Compact RCBO: Amazon.co.uk: Lighting
Z.
Are you referring to it's MCB-size (but hardly unique to Niglon - other brands have been doing them for years)
Or the G/Y earth lead (rather than the conventional cream (or white) that indicates a functional earth).
Or the schematic on the front which seems to suggest it contains just an MCB mechanism without any RCD components...
