Multi Function Testing

How do you carry out testing (EFLI, PSSC, ect) on a 133/230Y system with a tester like this? It seems like every tester wants to see line neutral and earth. line, line, earth on the other hand triggers fault codes.

  • I suspect you cannot do it in the way the makers intended, (looking at the manual ) as it is really intended for the 230/400v world. I'm a bit surprised to see it on sale in dollars - I;d have expected a US-centric tester to be very different.

Do you have an N as well as an E ?

You may need to make in into a 2 wire tester and merge the role of N and E to measure phase to phase.

There is no harm in calling Fluke and asking them.

    (contact info here )

Are you actually in the USA or using American kit in 230V land ?
