Unfused spur.

Hello All,

Could an unfused R.C.D. protected spur, from a complient ring final circuit, supplying a single outdoor socket via 1.5mm2 6242Y cable of max. length 300mm through a brick wall from an indoor socket outlet be considered compliant?

  • Thanks, Andy!   The only version of 60898 I'd found was an IS/IEC, i.e. Indian standard, from 2002, with appendices just A-L.  I don't have the BS-EN.  So I see it's more detailed in another version. Still, this Energy limiting class 1 looks like the old-style lack of requirement.
