It is acceptable to have a flex that has a trailing IP rated IEC connector and a panel plug on a control box that is the final connection for a whirlpool bath supply.
There cannot be a 13 amp plug and socket under the bath to connect the other end of the flex.
Are those two statements correct?
The difference between the two being that the IEC connector is a connector and the and the plug and socket is a plug and socket.

Why does stuff under a bath have to be I.P. rated for possible wet conditions? Do we insist upon I.P. rated stuff under house rooves in the loft in case a tile blows off?
