I came across an unusuall single phase cutout being dismantled in a youtube video was made by a company called Fluvent has any one ever heard of them. I'm guessing by the name they originally made bits for gas fires or boilers. I'm familiar with BICC and Henley but I've never heard of fluent the cutout was double pole fused so must of been ancient
Thankyou both so they are not as rare as I thought then especially if there are still some out in there naturally habitat. TheAeroflex fluvent name was what was on this cutout
renamed when al the founders had died off after its most successful products as Fluvent Electric
in the 1970s GEC mopped up the fuse and switch gear parts , and soon after the rest of the company became part of cableform group and then the name vanishes Cableform became part of Graystone who morphed part of the modern Ring group, who now mainly distribute and re-badge sell lights and stuff made by others,
These old advert are interesting the lower one is almost tongue in cheek humorous can't imagine any modern company doing that now. They must of had a fairly big factory just to fit the name on!
