Bathroom Lights Tripping RCBO

Hi all. I have fully rewired my house, completed approx 5/6 weeks ago. Testing passed without fault. Last night the missus pulled the cord for the bathroom lights and apparently they all flashed on for a second and tripped the rcbo. (I have confirmed this) The 4 downlights are Aurora 5W ip65 fittings. Have since turned the fan iso off and remade switch but still tripped. Investigated the cables and their connections, no fault their either. Disconnected all the lights and wago’d off and no trip. At this point I turned the fan back on and whaddyaknow.. it tripped.

seems as if their is a fault with the fan (opened it up and connection is okay so who knows) as well as the lights? Seems extremely unlikely to have blown together. I can not wrap my head around the issue. Please advise further!!

  • The fan is presumably all insulated without an earth, so I would guess that there’s a live neutral shirt if that is tripping it.

I had one blow up when I fitted and turned it on for the first time, it happens.
