Got a query about the above boiler. I need to connect a SALUS RT500 RF wireless programmable roomstat which needs it's own mains supply.
Firstly, I was wondering if I could just loop off the back of the incoming mains connections inside the boiler, or does it really need it's own seperate 3 core from the output side of the adjacent FCU. I was hoping to just run 1 x 5 core cable instead.
Secondly, The home owner is away for a week and I cannot find the boiler manual, so do not know if the contacts (presently looped out with a short link) for the external stat connections are volt-free or not - does anyone know? Similarly with the stat - are the COM and NO terminals inside the stat volt-free?
Am reluctant to poke around with multimeter probes unnecessarily and potentially damage the boiler pcb.
