Earth Rod. Milton Keynes.

Mr. Nagy again. The area of Milton Keynes he visited is one of the older pars, probably Wolverton, Stony Stratford  or New Bradwell perhaps. Victorian terraces. The supplies there are normally underground P.I.L.C. in most cases. Even if externally surface clipped cables are used as the main supply cables, there should be no reason not to be able to get P.M.E. earthing.

Comments?

Why did he install an earth rod? P.M.E. must be available in the densely populated parts of M.K.

Also a mention of a V.O.E.L.C.B. Note. It was the top terminals that were connected to the mains supply.

  • The other thing that occurred to me was that when he hit an obstruction, he just drilled through it. Presumably not the incoming leccy, gas, or water 'cos we would have known about it, but perhaps the house's main drain?
