Protection for earth rod connection

Former Community Member

I just completed a minor works on a property. The earth rod connection tested out ok but it was a couple of inches above the ground and unprotected, I believe in the past this was standard practice.

In this situation would you comment, code it as a C3  or do nothing?

Thanks

Alan

  • If It’s a certificate then you only comment unless it’s immediately dangerous. Codes are for reports. If there’s no corrosion, the cable is of correct sizing and warning label is in place all is ok. Better with a cover fitted so worth a comment.
