Electrical Materials Shortage.

Has anyone found it difficult to source materials?

I have just been to Tool Station and more than half of what I wanted to buy was out of stock, not just out of stock, but not even available from other Tool Station warehouses to be delivered to me.

Times is a gettin' desperate.

  • We do projects - just try to order in steel -  trunking, tray, ladder rack, conduit, etc or plastic such as three compartment trunking - by the large amounts, or any special order such as bespoke lighting for the ol' railway.

The costs have easily doubled in the last year or so and the lead times are somewhere between 6-10  weeks and, “I don't know”. Caveats on delivery mean somewhere in the future even when they give you a delivery time.
